Content & Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: April 15, 2026 · Part of the Terms of Service
Our standard
PYPStories is a family-friendly home for interactive adventure stories and comics. Think epic fantasy and adventure in the spirit of authors like Raymond E. Feist or Brandon Sanderson: quests, intrigue, battles, wonder, and heartfelt (non-explicit) romance— written so a wide audience, including younger readers with a parent’s guidance, can enjoy the path.
This policy applies to stories, comics, images, covers, page text, choice labels, titles, descriptions, usernames, comments, messages, and any other material you submit (“Content”). By uploading or posting, you agree to follow it.
1. Who this is for
Content should be appropriate for a general audience. If you would be uncomfortable reading it aloud in a mixed-age living room or school library fantasy section, it probably does not belong here.
2. What is allowed
Storytelling
- Adventure, fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, comedy, drama, and similar genres
- Branching choices and interactive structure
- Original characters, worlds, and art you have the right to use
- Action, combat, monsters, wars, and peril appropriate to epic/YA-leaning adventure
- Intrigue, politics, betrayal, and moral dilemmas
- Romance and relationships that stay emotionally meaningful without sexual content or smut
- Mild peril, injuries, and consequences of conflict, without graphic excess
Tone of language
- Clear, expressive dialogue and narration without profanity or crude sexual language
- Fantasy “oaths” or mild period slang are fine if they are not stand-ins for real-world swear words used for shock
3. What is not allowed
Sexual and adult content
- Pornography, erotic art, or “smut”
- Sexually explicit descriptions, images, or choice paths
- Nudity intended to sexualize characters (including “tasteful” erotic framing)
- Sexual content involving minors (anyone 17 or under)—zero tolerance, including fictional depictions
- Fetish content, non-consensual sexual scenarios as titillation, or links to adult sites
Language
- Profanity, coarse sexual language, or slurs
- Speech targeting people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, orientation, disability, or similar
- Harassment, threats, or bullying in stories, comments, or usernames
Violence and horror (limits)
- Allowed: fights, battles, weapons, monsters, stakes, and non-gratuitous injury—as in mainstream adventure fantasy
- Not allowed: prolonged graphic gore, sexual violence, torture porn, or content that glamorizes real-world atrocities
Illegal or harmful activity
- Content that promotes real-world crimes, terrorism, or dangerous illegal acts
- Scams, phishing, malware, or spam
- Doxxing or sharing private personal information of others
- Infringement of copyrights, trademarks, or other rights (no reposting others’ books/comics without rights)
Platform abuse
- Impersonating PYPStories, staff, or other creators
- Misleading titles/covers that hide prohibited content
- Mass low-effort spam stories or comment spam
- Attempting to bypass review, payments, or bans
4. Covers, images, and pages
- Art must follow the same content rules as text
- No pornographic or sexually suggestive imagery
- No real-person deepfakes used to harass or mislead
- You must have rights to every image you upload
5. Usernames, comments, and messages
- Usernames cannot use profanity, sexual content, hate, or official/brand impersonation (e.g. “admin,” “pypstories,” “support”)
- Comments and contact messages must stay civil and policy-compliant
- Automated filters may reject some usernames or comments; appeals can go through Contact us
6. Review and enforcement
- Stories may require review before public publish
- We may approve, request changes, refuse, unpublish, or remove Content
- We may warn, suspend, or terminate accounts for violations
- Serious or illegal content may be reported to authorities where required
If you are unsure whether a story fits, aim for “can a general fantasy reader of any age (with a parent for younger kids) walk this path without adult material or swear-heavy dialogue?” When in doubt, leave it out—or Contact us before investing heavy production.
7. Reporting
See something that breaks this policy? Use Contact us on the site and include a link or story title and a short description. We review reports as capacity allows.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the community grows. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service means you accept the current policy.
